He always coveted his grandfather's old St. Michael angel figurine. He knew it came from the old country - the only valuable that survived the trip. He could never even touch it growing up, but now that it was his inheritance, he swelled with pride, but couldn't help but notice the faint war drums off in the distance every time he picked it up...
