Gencon is jam-packed full of amazing artists and artisans of the gaming world. There are more mini painting competitions than you can shake a paint brush at. For today's post I've combined two of those competitions. First you'll see below some of the miniatures entered into the grand Gencon painting competition. It's the traditional one sure, but it's still worth taking a look at.
This is just a tiny smattering of some of the more impressive miniatures entered into this year's competition (we were kind of smitten by the HUGE red dragon in case you didn't notice). Enjoy!
As if that weren't enough, the real interesting painting competition was one we stumbled across randomly in the middle of artists' alley. If you're not familiar with Mighty Muggs, you are missing out. There's hundreds of the little guys by Hasbro, but the true fun comes with the blank ones, as you'll see below. They're ultra customization and some of the fan creations are real works of art (but more on that later when we get to the Gencon auction mega-post!). One of the coolest things we found this year at Gencon was the D&D Mighty Muggs contest. Take a look at the pictures with entries below!
