Con of the North!

Con of the North is coming up this weekend, and fortunately The Bro and I are able to attend, so yay! I've never been to a smaller convention Gencon Indy before (unless you count Gencon Milwaukee), so I'm pretty stoked to get the chance to see what a smaller convention has to offer. First off it looks like the focus here is board games, which will be a nice change from the craziness that, although I love, can be a little overwhelming at a bigger convention. I know Fantasy Flight's going to be there due to their recent announcement, which will be a nice addition to any other companies or groups that will be there. I'm hoping we'll have a lot of opportunities to just sit and play new games with old friends or old games with new friends - good times either way really.

I'm not sure if there'll be much on the news front to report in with, but I'll most likely be posting some pictures live from the con. Whether it's pictures of particularly good games or to cover our trip to the FFG event center we have planned (hopefully it'll be open!), I'm really excited at this point for games and a three-day weekend. As a result of the con, I may not be posting regularly in the next couple of days, but we shall see what I come up with. If nothing else, I may get a chance to demo the newly-released Runewars, and all will be right in the world.

(And no, I will not be buying Barney (our 5 month old kitten) a t-shirt to commemorate the con, but I did think the t-shirt available for it was humorous enough to be the image for this post!)

  1. Barney (who is currently sitting on the ironing board, ...licking my jeans) told me to tell you he wants a t-shirt!!!
